Metronidazole & Oral Rehydration Salts    

I know most of the people suffer diarrhea, constipation and different vowel problems. But what if one day you woke up having a hard time because your stomach keeps on rumbling and its all because of amoeba Entamoeba histolytica. A gastrointestinal infection that may or may not be symptomatic and can remain latent in an infected person.It ca be transmitted by the fecal-oral route, but it can also be transmitted indirectly through contact with dirty hands or objects. 

This bacteria gave me a really hard time, because I need to go to the comfort room every minute, there was a time that I have to skip class because my stomach keeps on aching. 

According to my physician I am suffering from amoebiasis. He gave me a drug that can help lessen my stomachache and a oral rehydration salt. 

Metronidazol this is the drug administered to  me by my physician. He advised me to take this medication with food or a full glass of water or milk to prevent stomach upset. This drug works by stopping the growth of bacteria and protozoa.This antibiotic only treats bacterial and protozoal infections. Although it has a bittery taste it is really a good anti bacterial drug.

Oral Rehydration Salts was also administered to me by my physician severe diarrhea or other illnesses where dehydration is a problem. The combination of ingredients in these ORS packets enhances the ability of the large intestine to absorb fluids. Water treatment is also a good alternative for ORS.

After two weeks of following my physicians advised I fell strong as if I never experience that kind of stomachpain I felt before. These drugs are really effective.

Montelukast

Most of us Filipinos suffer from different kinds of ailments such as Cold, Cough, Allergies, Breathing  Problems, Constipation and many more. I remember having this ailment that gave me goosebumps. I really don't know what happen that time but the next thing I know I feel a deep chest tightness, and shortness of breath, oh really whats worse than having an Asthma?! 

 

Montelukast  is used for a number of conditions including: asthma, exercise induced bronchospasm, allergic rhinitis. It is mainly used as a complementary therapy in adults in addition to inhaled corticosteroids, if they alone do not bring the desired effect.

Thanks to my physician for administering me an effective drug that can help me to recover faster. In my prescription it says here that I should take it 1 tablet at bedtime for 2 weeks. My physician advice me that I may take this medicine with or without meals.

Zertin 

This is my second part of discussing the drugs I usually take when I feel sick. Since we live in a tropical country the weather always change. Our body is not used to it so we got different kinds of sickness.

Zertin this drug is a treatment of acute & chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, rhinosinusitis, laryngopharyngitis or exacerbations of these chronic diseases in association w/ mucus production & transport.

I took this drug during those days that I suffer from having a severe cough and cold caused by the sudden change of weather.  My physician advise me to take this drugs 1 capsule two times a day for 10 days. It can be taken with or without food. This drug has a really good effect on me.

Co-Amoxiclav

Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid or co-amoxiclav is a combination antibiotic consisting of amoxicillin  trihydrate, a beta-lac-tam antibiotic , and potassium clavulanate, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination results in an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against amoxicillin-resistant bacteria that produce β-lactamase. It is used  to treat infections caused by bacteria. 

 

This is the prescription administered to me by my physician. It says here that I should take the drugs three times a day for 7 days. I took this drug because in that time I suffer Tonsillitis and Pneumonia. It is advised by the physician to take it better after meals. The physician advice me to follow the instructions given to me when taking the drug to avoid side effects.

This antibacterial drug is really effective because during my first 3 days of intake of drugs my soar throat lessen its pain.
