Co-Amoxiclav


Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid or co-amoxiclav is a combination antibiotic consisting of amoxicillin  trihydrate, a beta-lac-tam antibiotic , and potassium clavulanate, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination results in an antibiotic with an increased spectrum of action and restored efficacy against amoxicillin-resistant bacteria that produce β-lactamase. It is used  to treat infections caused by bacteria. 

 




This is the prescription administered to me by my physician. It says here that I should take the drugs three times a day for 7 days. I took this drug because in that time I suffer Tonsillitis and Pneumonia. It is advised by the physician to take it better after meals. The physician advice me to follow the instructions given to me when taking the drug to avoid side effects.

This antibacterial drug is really effective because during my first 3 days of intake of drugs my soar throat lessen its pain.
